Telemann, Georg Philipp: Concerto in G Major for Violin, TWV 51:58
This concerto is a useful introduction to the Baroque violin concerto. This edition is based on two different manuscript sources. The new piano reduction is both accurate and playable.
Mostly 1st position with some 3rd position and one passage in 4th position. There is a series of double stops at the end of the 1st movement. The second movement is lyrical with some difficult chromaticism. The third movement has lots of fast pass agework, but it can be played entirely in 1st position. Examples can be seen in the preview.
